Out of Eden Walk – Pulitzer prize winning journalist Paul Salopek has begun a 22,000 mile journey across the planet as he travels in the footsteps of humanity’s great migration out of Africa 70,000 years ago. Expected to take over seven years, he will be updating this National Geographic hosted site periodically with writing, pictures, videos, and audio recordings.
Peter Heller – Writer Peter Heller has written some great articles about adventures ranging from kayaking in Cuba to an action packed ride with the anti-whaling activist group, The Sea Shepard Conservations Society. I wrote him after reading many of his articles and his recent book, The Dog Stars, and he actually wrote back with some great advice on writing!
Bill Bryson – His books are great travel companions. He may very well be the funniest writer on my bookshelf.
